HOW TO GET MYANMAR VISA

To promote travels and tourism in the country, the Myanmar Government eases visa processing for the foreign visitors. You can easily obtain Myanmar visa from the consulate or embassy in your country. It is useful to know that there are 2 types of entry visa for Myanmar; EVT VISA and PACKAGE TOUR VISA.

EVT VISA - Travelers can easily get this type of visa by applying directly to the Myanmar consulate in any country. According to the Myanmar Government’s regulation, visitors holding this EVT Visa have to exchange upon arrival a minimum of US$ 300 per person or equivalent with Foreign Exchange Certificate 300 Units (called FEC).

PACKAGE TOUR VISA - This type of visa is given to those travelers that have booked a package tour to Myanmar. You do NOT have to exchange US$ 300 upon arrival!

You can apply for the Package Tour Visa through Royal Exclusive Travel by booking a package tour and send Passport details either by fax or by e-mail.

Royal Exclusive Travel will fax a recommendation letter - one copy to the Myanmar Embassy in your country, and another copy to you. Submit this copy togetherwith your original passport and 3 photos to the Myanmar Embassy in your country, you will obtain Package Tour Visa. Visa fee has to be paid to the Embassy at US$ 12-15 depending upon country.

Note: You can also obtain visa stamp in Bangkok if you arrived in Thailand; time required is 2 working days. Just submit your original Passport and 3 photos to Royal Exclusive Travel.

HOW TO AVOID THIS USD 300 FEC?

If you wish to travel independently in Myanmar and do not like to exchange this FEC, you can avoid it by booking a minimal Package Tour. We have this package of 3 days/2 nights (MYR-03-SP) in order to get Package Tour Visa, specifically for this purpose. Extension of stay in Myanmar is possible. Myanmar Visa is valid for 28 days.
